Simon Green

With an extensive background in tourism, marketing and events, Simon has enjoyed roles as Marketing Projects Manager for one of the region’s largest tourism operators (Real Journeys), General Manager Sales and Marketing for Alpine Gold (beverage company) and 7 years as Director of the renowned Queenstown Winter Festival.

As a consultant Simon was engaged as international co-ordinator for Leading Mountain Resorts of the World, he completed a strategic marketing audit for Destination Queenstown, wrote the new events strategy for Queenstown Lakes District Council and provided business development, branding and sales advice for a host of major local businesses and tourism operators. Simon was also a board member and deputy chair of the New Zealand Events Association and is a founding trustee of the Wakatipu Community Foundation.

In 2007 Simon developed and co-managed a dedicated apartment and lifestyle investment division for a local Queenstown real estate agency, maximizing the profile and representation of this sector of Queenstown’s property market. He worked alongside major property developers, directing and implementing marketing and sales campaigns both domestically and off shore, managed relationships with management companies and financial institutions and co-ordinated the collective marketing of over 100 individual investment properties in the Queenstown market.

Since establishing Invest Queenstown in 2016, as well as managing the sale of existing managed apartments and lifestyle investment properties, Simon continues to work alongside developers to maximise the potential of their projects, delivering a complete end-to-end project marketing and sales service.
