Listing information
You will be asked to provide us with information about yourself, your firm or company, when you are listing your property. You will also be asked to show us your identification which will we store securely in our cloud-based AML Hub and details proving your residential address. These requirements are in line with the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 and the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 and will only be used for those purposes.
Registration information
You will be asked to provide us with information about yourself, your firm or company, when you register for certain services, such as email newsletters, event registrations, and alerts. You may also provide additional comments on how you see Invest Queenstown Limited servicing your needs and interests.
Email information:
If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses.
Website use information:
The website may use cookie and tracking technology depending on the features offered. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the website, and understanding how visitors use the website. Commitment to data security:
Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorised employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from this site allow you to opt out of further mailings.
We store most of your personal information on our own servers here in New Zealand. From time to time we may need to store personal information in the cloud (online). This may involve storage in data centres outside New Zealand. We take care to carefully select data centre and storage service providers whom we trust with your information.
We work hard and follow industry best practice to ensure the information we hold is secure.
If we become aware of a data breach that we think could compromise your security, we will tell you as soon as we can. We may also report the breach publicly, if we consider it appropriate to do so or if we’re required to by law.

Privacy Complaints Process
As part of providing you Invest Queenstown Limited services, we do need to collect some personal details from you, our clients. We understand how important it is to you that those details are kept secure and private, and so we have robust and thorough processes to do just that. If, however, you feel that your privacy has been breached in any way, we have a process in place to ensure we investigate and address your concerns as quickly as possible – the Invest Queenstown Privacy Complaints Process, which is outlined below.
Step 1
You can make a privacy complaint by calling our Privacy Officer on +64 21 530 000 or email [email protected]. We will listen to your concerns and do everything we can to resolve them immediately.
Step 2
The Privacy Officer will investigate and may contact you directly for further information on your concerns.
They will then respond to you to advise
- whether or not Invest Queenstown Limited accepts your complaint;
- the reasons for Invest Queenstown Limited’s decision;
- any further steps Invest Queenstown Limited proposes to take in relation to your complaint; and
- of your right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
If our Privacy Officer is unable to resolve your concerns within five working days of us receiving your complaint, we will acknowledge your complaint in writing and let you know the expected timeframe for response. If we think resolving your complaint will take more than 20 working days, we will contact you to update you on our investigation and explain why it is going to take longer than usual.
Step 3
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint following receipt of a final response from Invest Queenstown Limited’s Privacy Officer, you may complain to the Privacy Commissioner. Please see below for more information.
