A local of over 20 years, Simon knows what makes Queenstown tick. He holds a masters degree in commerce and worked for over a decade in tourism and marketing before developing and co-managing a dedicated apartment and lifestyle investment division for a local Queenstown real estate agency in 2007.
Recognising the ongoing need for specialist representation, especially for the sale of managed apartments, Simon established Invest Queenstown (IQ) in 2016 and has since gone on to build a reputation as the town’s resident expert in this dynamic sector of the local real estate market.
A father of 3 (plus a dog, a cat and a couple of ponies) and with a family history in the area dating back to the 1860s, Simon is a passionate and active member of the Queenstown community. Moving to Queenstown in 1996 to take on the role of Marketing Projects Manager for one of the region’s largest tourism operators, Simon went on to work as a tourism and marketing consultant providing business development, strategic planning, branding and sales advice for a host of major local businesses, tourism operators, Destination Queenstown and Queenstown Lakes District Council.
Alongside work in tourism and marketing, Simon is also an accomplished entertainer and event manager, having starred in a host of major musical theatre productions and performed at concerts and special events all over the country. He spent 7 years at the helm of the Queenstown Winter Festival, has produced a number of theatre productions and special events and continues to perform (rarely) when the right opportunity arises.
A keen golfer, skier and surfer, when not in the office you’ll find him on the fairway, on the slopes or down south surfing some of his favourite breaks.
He sat on the board of the New Zealand Event Association for 3 years, was a committee member for Showbiz Queenstown and was a founding trustee and board member for the Wakatipu Community Foundation. Over the years has produced a range of local charity events that have helped raise in excess of $300,000 for charity and he continues to lend a hand as much as possible for anything that will benefit the local community.
Over the last decade in real estate Simon has worked alongside major property developers, directing and implementing marketing and sales campaigns both domestically and off shore, managed relationships with management companies and financial institutions and co-ordinated the collective marketing and sale of over 100 individual investment properties in the Queenstown market.
Since establishing Invest Queenstown in 2016, as well as managing the sale of existing managed apartments and lifestyle investment properties, Simon continues to work alongside developers to maximise the potential of their projects, delivering a complete end-to-end project marketing and sales service.

Living in Queenstown for over 30 years, Graeme knows the dynamics and challenges of Queenstown’s unique economic environment. With an early background in forestry, Graeme went on to manage one of the region’s top tourism activities – Dart River Jet. His strong managerial skills then saw him take on the role of manager of one of Queenstown’s leading real estate companies which saw the beginning of a 17 plus year career in real estate.
Since joining Invest Queenstown in 2020, Graeme has rekindled his love of real estate and all things “apartments” and is leading the charge in the sale of apartments across multiple complexes, but also helping IQ extend further into the lifestyle investment sector, especially holiday homes and rental investment properties.
Over his 20+ years in real estate Graeme has seen the good times and the unpredictable times, he has earned a reputation as a professional, honest and well-respected member not only of the Queenstown real estate sector, but the community as a whole. He has also developed a great foundation to work alongside major property developers, assisting in implementing marketing and sales campaigns both domestically and off shore, understanding Queenstown’s specific buyer behaviour and the importance of aligning yourself with the financial and legal institutions throughout the industry.
During Graeme’s time in the property industry he witnessed the managed apartment market develop into a major player in the residential/commercial sector and recognised that it needed specialist representation. Consequently, Graeme carved out a niche as one of the region’s most successful real estate agents, selling hundreds of properties throughout the Wakatipu Basin. Graeme brings with him a fresh approach in that he concentrates on achieving the goal of using every tool he can to lift the profile of the properties he has been engaged to sell. He worries less about his own personal profile or the company’s profile and stands by the saying – “let the results speak for themselves”.

Graeme was the agent for a property we were interested in purchasing. However a tight time frame meant we offered our existing Queenstown property plus cash as a potential method of purchase as we did not have the time to put our property on the market.
